I am REALLY struggling with my healthy lifestyle change

The holidays for me are not easy times. I am not that crazy about Thanksgiving nor Christmas. I was just never much into it though I put on the brave face for family and friends.

Truth be told, the holidays for me just make me bluer than blue. My eating is out of control, excercising hasn't happened for weeks. I am a mess.

I still have tons of hope I will turn the corner and everything will truly be okay. I am just not feeling my best. I could use some encouragement and maybe how my fellow sparkers handle the holidays.

    emoticon Hang in there! It'll all be over by the end of the month. Search for the root of all that over eating and only supply yourself with healthy food and snacks. You can do this!!! emoticon

    I'm with you - I totally get it. I use the holidays as my time to get it together. Luckily I've worked for companies that shut down for the holiday so I use the time to get my fitness act together for the new year. I eat right - exercise and generally do a physical and mental cleanse so that I'm ready for whatever the new year brings.

    You can do this - just put your mind to it....speak it and it will be done.

    I recently read and article titled 31 Days to healthier Holidays; A tip of the month Calendar for December or any month. It had some cute ideas and had other suggested articles that may help.

    What can you do to make the cold holiday seasons as good as the other holiday seasons? Watch your expectations. Don't over obligate. A little holiday is enough.

    I'm not crazy about the holidays myself so I understand. I'm not even trying to put on a brave face anymore LOL! Do you feel better after you exercise? I usually do so I exercised before getting together with the family on Thanksgiving. I had a little endorphin rush going and I was able to coast along for a few hours until it was acceptable to leave. Also, I made a point of not congregating with the family in the kitchen, so I wouldn't pick at food. I actually got to have a good conversation with a cousin I don't usually talk to that much, as a result.
