Why do you? -or- Don't you?

Why do you work out? I work out because feeling weak physically leaves me feeling weak emotionally. I enjoy having energy and being capable of living an active lifestyle. I enjoy the freedom of wearing clothing that fits well and the carefree feeling when getting dressed. It isnt about believing I am not good enough, or that fat is ugly. For me, it's all about having something to prove to myself, living up to my own expectations that I am one tough, creative, and beautiful women!
Yes seeing the numbers on the scale drop down feels good, but that number is not my goal. My goal is strength, its being pissed off and going for a run instead of wallowing in anger. It's feeding my family a healthy home cooked meal from the heart. It's establishing healthy habits in my daughter so she wont face the same challenges that I have. Its lifting weights in the evening as I watch TV instead of sitting and snacking, the following morning when I awake I feel the difference. It's the difference between helpless, and fearless. I've taken my life into my hands and molded it into what I want, hope, and dream. Because hopes and dreams can only take you so far without beginning, trying, and doing!

been a while since I've done this BUT I think YOU need it, yeah you! Get down on the floor and give me some push ups! I don't care if its one and then you fall on your face or if its 10 and you beat your record, just do it! Do it because you had the time to read my blog, didnt you? So do this for yourself. Do it to make yourself proud!
