So Dark Chocolate beers can catch up with you

Friday, December 02, 2011

Oh well, I kind of knew that I wouldn't get away with it. Funny how I have discovered that it takes two days for a binge to seem to catch up with me. So the scale scolded me with a two pound gain. No problem though, it was so worth it. I am back on track today. The dark chocolate beer was called Bohemia, which I believe is made in Mexico for those that wanted to know. But I won't be indulging in anymore, at least not until I get the two pounds off ;).

Again this morning I am enjoying the peace and quiet. Just love catching up on sparks and sipping my tea in the morning. It's a bit chilly here for us in the mornings and nights now, like in the 50's but always is sunny and will warm up to 70's during the days. The hot tub stays around 101 so that warms the bones when needed. And I also have a steam room that I use during the chilly times. Our casas here in Mexico do not have heat or air conditioning as it really isn't needed. A fireplace is all one needs to take the chill off. Nice too not to have any big heating bills.

Well, getting my act together and will get out and walk the dogs.
Do hope all my sparks buddies are doing well.
Sallie

Bohemia is a beer that I have been trying to find here to try. I have seen it advertised and I love to try different beers on occassions. I went to a resturant that had it listed on the menu, but they told me they did not carry it at that location, but in other cities. Your weather sounds perfect to me. I would love to live where we do not need heat or ac. Have a great day

I want your chilly, although it is dry and sunny right now in Portland. Very unusual.

Ah, Bohemia! I can remember hearing commercials on the radio for that brand of beer :) Thanks, Sallie, for bringing back yet another "Mexican memory" :) And you've really discovered an interesting way your body works when confronted with a few extra calories - it registers their presence in two days, rather than on the next morning! That's good to know; I don't like "surprises" on the scale! What heaven, having both a steam room *and* a hot tub! You're "insured" to the hilt against any muscle or joint pain you ever incur - how cool is that! emoticon That weather is the best in the world, isn't it? So temperate that you're never faced with hot/cold extremes - I still miss it! The most we ever used during the winter in Mexico City was the occasional space heater...just amazing! Enjoy the rest of your day :) It's crisp and sparklingly sunny, 49 in the riotous wilds of northern VA emoticon

    Sounds like a wonderful day.

I came to the same conclusion a couple months ago, what you do today shows up in a couple of days. Knowing you, I know you will have those 2 lbs gone soon.

Have a great day!
