...my goals.

I started out setting them pretty high to push myself to do the best I possibly could.

In October, I lost 14.2 pounds! Amazing right? I wasn't pleased because the goal I had originally made for myself was 15.8.

I tacked on that extra 1.6 pounds to my November goal and set it at 13.6. Probably a little absurd, if I think about it realistically.

I of course, didn't reach that goal. As the month progressed though and I battled with being stuck at 184-187 for a while, I decided to set my goal to somewhere...ANYWHERE...under 180 by the month's end.

I did it =)

179.4 this morning!

So maybe it's not the 13.6 pounds that I wanted, but it IS 7.2, which is nothing to be ashamed about.

I'm trying to tell myself that I'm gaining muscle...and hearing it from friends that my waist is looking so tiny or my legs are looking so toned really has helped.

On top of that, I'm well on my way to being able to run a 5k like I set out in my goals for this month. I found an 8-week program to follow and should be done by December 31st. Each time that I run it gets easier and easier. Tuesday night I ran 2.25 miles with my boyfriend like it was nothing. It probably IS nothing for some of you, but it's something I've never done in my life. I stopped only once for about twenty seconds to stretch out a cramp, then went right back to running.

We laughed about how the first time he ran with me at the beginning of the month, my task was to complete one mile. I had never really run outside, mainly stuck to the treadmill because it holds my pace and seems much easier.

I whined and complained the entire time! I stopped about 7 or 8 times within that ONE mile. I cursed at him every time he tried to help and encourage me. Now I did 2.25 like a champ! He kept telling me, "I know you're a woman, but tonight you are the MAN!"

So, with goals in mind for December, I'm re-evaluating and changing my goal to 169.8 AND to complete a 5k.

That's a weight loss of 9.6 pounds. And while I can't find a 5k to actually compete in this month, my goal is that I can run it...outdoors...with my boyfriend by the month's end.

Here we go...
