THE BEST MEDICINE IS LOVE

A country doctor said, I've been practicing medicine for over 30 years. During all those years I have prescribed many different things. But in the long run, I've learned that for most of what ails the human condition, the best medicine is love!”

“But, asked a student, what if it does not work?”

“Double the dose, came the quick reply.

Many have said that love is the greatest medicine in the world. It can do more to heal the sick than most medicines. It is holding someone's hand, shedding a tear with a broken heart, sitting quietly beside someone who is grieving.

Love is not an emotion that is based on a passing feeling. It comes from a compassionate heart that has experienced the conversion that God has provided for us through His Son. Love is something that is born of God and given by God.

Love is a gift. Take it and let it grow.

Love is a sign. Wear it and let it show.

Love is an act. Do it and let it go.

As we now come into the most scared of all Holidays, the Birth of our Saviour. Let us all take time
to acknowledge the love and peace in our lives and show the world we do have the gift of Love and Compassion.

Let it Show in Every Thing You Do This Holiday and All Year Long.

Father, we pray you fill our hearts, with Your love. May we overcome selfishness by living lives of service as Your Son, our Savior did. In His name. Amen.

Scripture for Today: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

    Hi Barbara;

I totally believe those words and that is the way I live my life.I have a smile for everyone and a kind word for strangers no matter how it is recieved I always pass on love. I smiled at a girl one day and told her she was beautiful and that young lady came back to me later and told me no one had ever told her that but she stopped taking drugs got a job and fixed herself up. A smile and kind word can do wonders. God bless you always. May 2012 be your best year in reach all your goals. Learn something new every day.

Smile Joyce

Thank you so much Barbara, for the beautiful words of
Love. God says, "the greatest gift of all is Love." Your
words blessed me so much, because they are so very
true. I am so glad that we are good friends and that
you reminded me of " the most important gift of all,"
Love. God has blessed you with this wonderful gift.
You live your life, to love and show all that is possible,
that you love them. Love So Amazing! Praying that
God will bless you and stay right by your side, as you
continue to show testimony of Love for others, as
you care for them.

At our wedding, nearly 23 years now, when we went to sign the register, we had a song played during that time by Don Francisco
it is called "I can never promise you" one of the lines goes like this "Love is not a feeling, but an act of your will" Wayne and I have built our relationship around those words. God taught us to love, but so many people forget that!!
