I don't know...I just needed a place to vent. It seems as though no one gives a pootie hoo about what I am going through. People just come to me for comfort when I am the one that needs comfort...Long story short..My Dad is dying. My Mom has Alzheimers. I am taking full care of Mother at this time and sharing care duties with brother for Daddy..My step Mother passed away Saturday...It has been the challenge of my life. It makes making the right food choices and a bit of exercise seem like a cake walk. Don't ya think? I'm just sayin....:)

Hi Kim! Know somewhat of the stress you are feeling. Pray for guidance and help from the Lord. I'll say a prayer for you also. God bless you.

Oh my goodness girlie! You have a lot on your plate! Sending positive thoughts your way! Hope you have had some time to paint to have some "Kim" time!!!! :) When I face stress and struggles I always turn to the Serenity Prayer. It keeps things in best as we can see them anyways ;) emoticon

My mom has Alzheimers, too, so I understand completely what you are going through. Please feel free to vent anytime. People here at Spark are so amazing with all of the compassion and caring. This is truly a safe place to talk.

That is definitely a lot on your plate. You must take some time for you, certainly.

I hear your frustration. These types of stressful situations can really take a toll on us, emotionally and physically. I lost my mother in 2005 and miss her daily, but she's with me always in my heart.

You hang in there, take a walk to clear your head when you need to and ask others to help, don't feel like you need to always be the one to take care of things.

This is a great place to "vent" without you just vent whenever you need to!!

Well that's a lot on your plate! I'm so sorry to hear of your step mother's passing and your dad too. And your poor mom!! What about poor Kim? You're right though, making healthy choices is a cake walk compared to what you are going through. I hope you will continue though to make those good choices and get some exercise because believe it or not, both will help energize you and clear your head so you can gain perspective on your situation, which is this: You are suffering. There is a path that leads to the end of suffering and that is letting go. There is nothing you can do to prevent the suffering of those you love so you have to let go and know that at some stages in everyone's life there will be suffering and then death. It happens to all of us. It hurts to see our loved ones going through it too, but you have to let go of that hurt or you will fall into suffering too and your suffering can lead to poor physical and mental health. So take care of yourself first and then take care of those loved ones after that. You need to be strong in body and mind and I wish you well and all the very best during this rough road you are on.

Wow... so sorry you're going through all this. It would be too much for anyone to handle!

As far as the food choices, I may be the wrong one to ask, but I think I would ease up on being stringent. That being said, taking care of yourself has to be put on the front burner, so maybe food choices need to try to at least be healthy ones.

Also, getting some exercise and some alone time to recharge. You've heard the "put on your own oxygen mask before helping others" thing, right?

Please take care of yourself and come back here often for support!
