I see a pattern that I don't like AT ALL

Now that I track my food intake each day, I see that although I do check the labels, the calories/fat really add up! I never thought that the little things add up so quickly. I hate it because I am over every day (or reach my goals way too early in the day) but I'm very determined now to be within my goals but still not OVER. What a shock to my system, but I'm glad I'm doing it as it causes me to think very hard about what I eat (and when, how many, etc).

    Generally speaking, foods without labels are going to be your best bets anyway - produce, produce, and more produce! As soon as they package it, it's getting processed and the more a food is processed, the more profitable it becomes for the manufacturer and the WORSE it becomes for your health!

    It can be so hard to find that balance. I find when I'm not paying attention, I can easily go over in all categories so easily. Sometimes it is fun to make finding healthy, filling, low calories foods into a game like "which is better". Sometimes I have to remind myself that I wouldn't grab a bowl of macaroni or a big sandwich for a snack (300+ calories) so why do I think it is okay to mindlessly eat 2-3 servings of chips (which would be well over 300 as well).
