Wow this weekend went by in a flash. Suddenly I am sitting here in silence with the kids off to school , DH off to work and I want to go back to bed! lol
We put the tree up on Friday night....so it is twinkling beside me here...so it is starting to feel festive in my home. No snow here yet...just rain.
Saturday DD and I went to the Pickering College home show and bought these adorable cookies...and I am glad I did because when we got home friends of ours needed to "borrow us" to pick up their new big screen TV and then invited us for Chinese take out at their home for dinner. (the cookies were dessert)...they were not as sweet as usual because instead of royal icing , she had used thinly rolled Fondant. I took a pic on my new Iphone, ( well it is new to me) and I don't know how to download it yet. I also bought Marlene MacPhearson's latest cookbook : She is a local author of 2 cook books and recovering from Cancer.
It is the kids 2nd Ed family style one! I love it and can't wait to start trying the recipes. I will be interviewing her soon for an article.
Last week I interviewed and wrote about another two ladies who are making a difference.
This week I have one deadline, one interview and one CRAFT SHOW!! !AAAH!
I have to do some baking and make up gift baskets for the craft show, yes, I think I will be sadly lacking in sleep this week.
So...how is my exercise and working out coming along you ask? Have I dusted off those weights yet? ER...NO....but I did have my second Trygenics treatment ....and then gave a testimonial on Video as to how the treatment went.
SIgh...me on video again! Funny how that keeps happening to me?
The good news is this...I have no shoulder pain any more, Unless I sit hunched over my computer for a long time, but I am trying to avoid that. I did not swim last week. Too busy.
So I think I will have to dig out my 15 min workouts for dummies and get those weights going.
ONE DAY AT A TIME! I hope to swim tonight if I am not too tired by 7pm.
I have my physical next Monday, that will be interesting!
Don't think my doc is going to like my weight!
I have tried to make sure we are eating more fruit and veg this week.
That is an ongoing challenge with the kids and I am hoping Marelene's cookbook will inspire them to eat and be more adventurous.
here is a pic of the kids sneaking up on some ducks, it is unseasonably warm... I hope we get snow for Christmas.
