So for my first year of Sparkpeople I was aiming for weightloss. I managed to lose about 40lbs (probably less than that now, i'm too scared to weigh myself after hawaii and thanksgiving, although i didnt' stuff myself silly on thanksgiving day). For the second year I'm going to focus on toning up and running. My cousin did the Thanksgiving day Run to feed the hungry this year, he said next year he wants to do the 10K. I think if i get consistent with running again, we would be able to run a 10K by the spring but my cousin is very apprehensive (he works with me so we can do lunch runs together).
This morning i felt terrible. My son and I have a cold. I tried to be a trooper and bring back the old full of Spark me to the table yesterday in hopes to "sweat it out" but nope, i felt crappier this morning. But I still tried to work out. I did Burn Circuit 1 and Abs10 this morning and MAN....i feel it right now, and i'm probably going to be in more pain tomorrow. It's a little bittersweet, It's nice to feel sore because it means i'm working out my muscles, however it sucks because i used to be fit enough to not have THIS much muscle soreness. I'll be back to normal soon enough.
SO ANYWAYS...so my goals for my second spark year will be:
-Get down to 18% Body fat
-run a 5K in under 30min
-run an 8K Race (Early April)
-run a 10K Race (Not sure when, but definitely next Thanksgiving i guess)
Next week i'll start running during my lunch breaks again, my cousin is pretty consistent and has been running about 4 days a work week! I don't know if i can handle morning workotus and running everyday, we'll see. I don't want to get burnt out.
I have to start studying for my PE exam as well. that will be in April. :(
