Hi, all! Hope everyone is well. The weather her in the Mid-Columbia has been very, very odd. About a week ago, it was in the 20s and 30s and snowing. Then a couple of days ago, it was windy and 68! Now it's back to being chilly again.
Well, about a week ago, when we had snow, I decided to try out my new boots and was repaid with a large double blister on the back of my right heel. OW! Now, I can't even wear my athletic shoes. Thanks to my diabetes - I'm sure - it's not healing very fast. So, I resorted to wearing my casual shoes. And was I surprised.
Back when I bought my athletic walking shoes and the pair of boots, I bought a third pair of shoes - only to get the free shipping. I really only intended to wear them in the back yard. So, I got this pair of Crocs (Women's Olivia style). I though they were pretty comfortable at the time.
But they are incredible! For the past week, I've been wearing them while walking the dogs. I've been walking 3-5 miles and the shoes have been holding up well. There have only a couple of times I've noticed the difference. They don't cushion your feet from the road surface that well. So, on the rocky path along the canal, you have to be a little careful. But I really thought I'd have to curtail my walk. I highly suggest these shoes!
Still, I can't wait 'til I can wear my athletic shoes again.
