Day Three - Help Please

I am not sure if I am completing the nutrition tracker correctly. Is it time consuming or is it just me? When I search for food it seems to be restaurant food listed. So I made home made burgers with corn on the cob for dinner tonight. When I make the burgers I just mix onions, oatmeal and spices. Is there an easier way to enter food. It seems to be so time consuming and it seems to take me longer than I think it should. Does anyone out there have any tips or wisdom that they care to share. I don't want this to be a deterrent for reaching my goal.

    I've also have entered manually a lot of foods I eat most often. It was slow in the beginning, but now it is a great help to me. I can get in and list my meals very easy now. Just don't forget to save them to your favorites. This gets easier, hang in there. emoticon Rita

    You can select to search foods members entered, but I have found so many errors when I compare the food label to entries (wish there was a "report error" button for those), I decided to enter all of my own foods. Yes, it's time consuming at first, but if you save them in your favorites and use the faves to enter food and it'll take no time once you have 95% of what you will eat entered.

    I've honestly spent a lot of time entering foods manually because I'm a bit of a control freak. Also, I'm a creature of habit, so I regular eat a lot of similar things...so I spent a lot of time the first couple of days entering popular foods that I enjoy and eat regularly, especially if I can't find it in the list. That way I know exactly how many calories, etc are in the food, because I have the package/information right in front of me! It can be time consuming, but it's time that you will get back by living a healthier and longer life! :) Good luck, and don't get discouraged!!

    You should be able to find foods other than restaurant food. Sometimes you also can find it be using other member foods. Hope you will have more luck using the tracker. When I started I entered a lot of my own foods.
