The reward system

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

I just read in the motivational pages you should have a reward system. I really like this idea. I buy myself something at the end of each month from avon to treat myself. I set a limit of $25 . I don't know what I will do for reaching the half way goal. I want to loose 40 pounds, so after I loose 20 lbs, I want to treat myself to something special. I think it will be a little mini vacation to visit my grandchildren in the next town. Due to high gas prices I haven't seen them as much as I want. When I go to their house I will bring my boost, and broccoli. For excercise I will dance with the kids listening to their music. This should be fun because the kids will probably be dancing with me. This is the best idea I can come up with and it suits me just fine. Do you have a reward system??

Every pound i lose 1 goes into my jar When i get to 10lb i buy a gift voucher
.Though the loss is a little slow so only 8 in jar at the moment but my other jar is what i would have spent on junk food so far this year there is 110 in that jar This jar will pat for Christmas food for the homeless hostel

Rewards are a good incentive. I like to put aside the money I would have spent on bad food choices and use it when I reach a reward goal. That way I'm doubly reinforcing with: "I have $4 more in my pocket because I didn't have that venti almond mocha frappacino" (or whatever).

I LOVE reward systems! I have one too, but for every 5 lbs. Every 5 pounds it's a small reward like a magazine I want, or a candle, or something like that, and every 10th pound it's a bigger reward like a haircut, a pedicure, etc. Then for each 25 pounds (I want to lose 100) it's a milestone reward like dinner and a movie with my fiance, or a shopping spree for new clothes (since hopefully nothing will fit!)

Keep up the good work!!!
