Primal Challenge done!

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

So I started at 211 lbs and ended at 204 - 7 lbs down, 2" off my chest 3" off my waist 2" off my hips and 2" off my thighs. i am down 1 - probably 1 1/2 pant sizes as my 14's are a bit loose too.

Overall a good experience especially since the hardest part was doing without the cheese (which was apersonal choice not primal). And I think that cheese is not a big issue with me anyway. so i am going to go back to some limited dairy products (I don't do milk - yuck!)

Things that do make a difference with me - are to many or to little carbs - my sweet zone is 50 - 75. Anything less and i stall anything more and I stall.

Water - if i don't drink at least 64 oz of water on top of my tea etc then I don't lose. As soon as I start again it washes off of me emoticon

Calories - my average was 1610. But I varied from 780 (on IF days) to 1790. I think leveling my self out at 1500 if I can get my protein and fat in would dial me in better. but hey - I can't complain as it is pretty effortless at these calories and I am not starving!!

Exercie - i didn't overdo it but I didn't/don't slack either. I want to increase my strength training - think I amgoing to read up on HIT I know about it but want to explore some options.

So that is my primal experience. I think the diet is dialed in pretty well and defiantely the lifestyle for me. Here is my after pic - I don't have a before!! emoticon

Great blog, you've thought through a lot of things. I've heard of a lot of injuries with HIIT but only have limited experience. I found I can't do it in addition to running or my legs get injured. If in doubt just do a little bit and see if you are sore the next day or only do the upper body and core exercises. emoticon
