This chapter is all about nutrition and adopting the habits of people who achieved their weight loss goals. There are 5 action steps to complete:
- Take the healthy lifestyle pledge.
- Adopt the secrets of success.
- Track your food daily.
- Consistently exercise 10 minutes a day.
- Get adequate sleep each night.
I recommitted myself by printing out the pledge and signing it again (initially signed it when I joined SP).
The secrets of success include eating 5 servings of fruits/vegetables, eat breakfast daily, and drink eight cups of water. I did all three everyday except for Saturday, I didn't get all of my fruits/veggies in.
I tracked my food everyday. I didn't track everything I ate on Saturday didn't exactly follow program that day.
I am doing a Chalean Extreme / Turbo Jam hybrid rotation so I got my 10 minutes a day in.
In the beginning of the week I was having difficulty falling asleep. Because of the water I drank throughout the day I would wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom which interrupted my sleep. This got better later in the week I think my body was exhausted from the workouts and I stopped drinking water earlier in the day.
This was a good week for me. I'm proud of myself for sticking to the program for the most part. I'm even prouder that I didn't beat myself up when I slipped which would have been a normal reaction.
