It's weird because previously the weekends were hard for me and weekdays really had a set routine that was easier to manage, but today I am finding it hard to get my exercise in. I was at work all day and was too cold to go for a walk at lunch (chalk that up to my too tight winter coat!) - plus I was wearing a skirt. Now I am home from work, have cooked dinner, overseen homework and have put the kids to bed. I am in my workout clothes, but I don't want to get on the treadmill. I just don't want to do it. WAH!! I guess I will - sorry this really is just me thinking outloud and trying to convince myself.
There were some good things about today though:
- I resisted the cake that my friend Dave brought in to work. And this is big - this was no ordinary cake - it was like a 5 layer, super chocolate, fudge cake - I mean, is there anything better?? I really hope that all that cake is done when I get there tomorrow.
- I am back in the water habit. Over the weekend, I had to keep reminding myself, but today at my desk I kept my cup full and drank, drank, drank.
- I have tracked all my food and I am in a good range for all of it.
- really enjoying the sparkpeople app for iphone - I find it really easy to track and I like to see the reports on my calorie differential - keeps me going when I am not at home.
So, one step at a time - guess that next step takes me downstairs to the treadmill.
