PLATEAU is an UGLY WORD!!!!

Sunday, November 20, 2011

I have been doing so good, planning my meals, taking healthy lunches to work, wearing the belts out on my treadmill (lol), and yet seem to have hit that wall with dropping pounds....

I know I am making progress because my clothes are getting loose, people are commenting to me that I look like I've lost weight and its getting easier to go farther and faster on my treadmill.....so why isnt it showing on my scale?

It is so disappointing to know you are working so hard to do everything you should and yet just cant seem to bust thru that plateau on the weekly weigh in.

How do you deal with getting past the plateau???? I mean you start to question yourself on everything that you are doing, like is it enough? And how can I do any more than I am?

I believe this is the point where some throw in the towel.....I dont intend to be one of those!

Just looking for ideas to help break thru this wall......anyone?

I hate plateaus too! It sounds like you are doing everything right, and I am sure the scale will start moving down soon.

Other than trying tracking measurements too, you could really take a good hard look at what you are eating. Are you grabbing a handful of something mindlessly and not tracking it? What about drinks? Those are some sneaky calories right there! Or, maybe your nutrient ratios aren't quite right for you. There are lots of things you can try, so don't give up!

I've been on a plateau for the last 6 weeks. I don't know what to tell you, except to hang in there. Just keep doing what you're doing it the scale will move eventually!

If your clothes are loose and people are noticing change, I'd say you aren't in a plateau. The scale lies. A 250 lb bodybuilder will look PLENTY different than a 250 lb Sweetneeni. emoticon

Keep doing what you are doing. emoticon

Oh I can relate.. grrr.. But throwing in the towel is so not a choice!! What will happen if we did that... well we both know lol.

We just keep plugging along, keep logging, making sure we are really being honest with ourselves etc...
We will get there.. just keep at it!!! emoticon
