Cliffhanger: Can a mama lion save her cub?

Saturday, November 19, 2011

Mish Whalen writes

A lioness looks around helplessly after her cub fell down a ravine and couldn't make it back up the cliff.

Other members of the pride attempt to rescue the cub but stop trying when they realize it is too steep.

Only the mother lion is willing to take the risk.

Just as the exhausted cub seems about to fall, his mother circles beneath him and he is snatched up in her jaws, according to the Daily Mail. She then begins the difficult journey back to the top.

These dramatic frames were taken by wildlife photographer Jean-Francois Largot at Kenya's Masai Mara game reserve in August.

Safe and sound, the lioness gives the cub a big welcome-back lick.

Nothing can stop a mama on a mission even if it is an animal doing it.

Now, you talk about motherly instinct?

And then we hear all these stories of mothers killing their babies and they are human beings.

We know there has to be something really wrong with these human mothers that do that.

If an animal can be willing to sacrifice her life to give her baby back his life what is wrong with us who are supposed to be made in the image and likeness of our Father Creator?

I know and realize it is not all human being mothers that kill their babies, it is just a small part, but, still, why are they even one of us who does this?

I guess we could say "Sin".

Those women must be so twisted and perverted in their spirit and soul to kill their own babies.

If you have ever wondered how far a Mother's Love will take her, this should answer that. It is interesting that the other Lions (they were all females?) DID try to help, but they gave up.
emoticon I don't know whether Lions Pray, but God certainly gave her what she needed to rescue the Baby. Never doubt the effectiveness of a Mother's Persistence in Rescue Endeavors or in Prayer.
