We are all human and we all mess up sometimes. We don't stick to our healthy eating plan, we don't exercise for a few days, we procrastinate on tasks. I'm fortunate that I have the fitness and health thing down pretty good. I love to exercise and I've grown to crave healthy food, so I feel pretty good about how I'm doing on that front.
Procrastination on my job search is another matter. I saw an interesting job posted on LinkedIn and I spent the weekend carefully crafting my cover letter. My plan was to send out the letter and resume on Monday. Well, Monday came and I quickly looked at the cover letter and wanted to think about it some more. So instead, I perused Sparkpeople, other fitness websites, checked my blog statistics and what not. By Monday night I was tired and disappointed with myself. I didn't sleep well Monday night because I was thinking about how I wasted all day on Monday.
I awoke on Tuesday, determined that it will be different. And it was. I did my morning exercise, went over to for my daily visit with my Mom, and then sat down at the computer to send out the letter. I felt good about what I accomplished on Tuesday.
These past few days taught me that every day is a new chance. So what if you didn't have a successful day? You have another chance at it tomorrow.
