Ranting about Conventional Medicine

I cannot eat anything because I am scheduled for an abdominal sonogram. I have had a pain under my sternum and on my right side for at least six months. I've been given Zantac and offer Prisolec because "it might be gastritis." I went to a naturopath, who I like better than the MDs I've seen because she is not as arrogant and seems to be working with me. My latest doctor, the gastroenterologist, discounted the remedy she gave me because one of the ingredients was cellulose, which causes gas. Then he told me to buy Align, which is twice as expensive, and also contains cellulose.
I'm also tired of doctors telling me "just lose the weight and you'll feel better." First of all, if I could, I would. Second of all, I've been following a mostly healthy diet for three years, and the weight is not coming off. Third of all, if my cholesterol and sugar are normal, then, the weight is just affecting my skeletal system, which is not bothering me right now.
I just want to feel better.
