ok so I worked out twice since I last blogged, once on wednesday and then again today. The last part of this week has not gone so well, I ate like crap!!! Complete overeating and eating junk in general. So I could hang my head in shame or I could just try to get back on track.

So Im back on track. I did pretty good today. I woke up this morning and did a 30 minute walk/jog combination at the park. I have an ipod app that has a couch to 5k program on it, and thats what I am starting out with. It breaks into the music I listen to to tell me when to start or stop running/walking. Its conveinient and worth the 1.99 I paid for it 6 months ago. I never used it 6 months ago, but I bought it. So at least I am now getting my money worth. I just have to keep up with it.

I decided that I wanted to start jogging again because when I was training for the 5k I ran last year, it was so much eaiser to drop weight. OMG I just sneezed and lost 3 pounds. It was great! Its nice because, although it sucks, expecially when you are starting out, its a pretty no brainer workout, you just put one foot in front of the other for a certain amount of time and there is a constant change in the surroundings which is much better than sitting in front of the tv or staring at a spot on the wall while you elliptical for 30 minutes.

My first workout was not as hard as I imagined it. I guess I was expecting it to be just as hard as the first workout I had when I was training before. I was of course 50 pounds heavier then so that makes a big difference. OMG it was almost impossible back then to run for 30 seconds at a time and today running 1 minute at a time was very very doable. I could have run for longer to tell the truth, but I am going to gradually build myself up.

I took pictures of all my food today and I thought I did pretty well. When I added it all up I was a few points over though. My dinner ended up being a little points heavy because of some vegetables that counted for more than zero (most plain green veggies are zero points but once you start getting into beans and peas, veggies with sauce and other higher calorie veggies your looking at 1 - 3 points a serving).

I will post a food blog tomorow morning once I download the pics. Im too tired to do it tonight.

    yes it never really gets much easier, there are just days that are eaiser and days that are harder, but its always hard. I think I am just hard wired to be overweight so I am going to have to keep tabs on myself my whole life. It sucks but its the reality of it. I feel like an alcholic in recovery... just with food, only problem is you need food every day so its a constant battle to make the good choices that I need to make.

29 is the lowest weight watchers recommends. I would like to continue losing so I eat at 29 points, I end up usually overeating or nibbling during the week and maintain. Its hard.

    Oh yeah I love your food blogs. your so crafty and i'm so plain in my planning. you always give me great ideas. You would think that once we got to a certain place the rest would be easy, why then is it so hard to stay on track? We always seem to head back the old ways when we hated the way they made us feel.
