Total Exercise Minutes: 56

We went to Applebee's Restaurant today. They were offering free meals to veterans and active duty military personnel. As I dressed to go, I weighed myself. I have lost 2 pounds. I have a doctor's appointment the first week in December, so that makes me feel a little better about going to see her.

My husband and I each had a delicious meal. I had fiesta lime chicken and he had a bacon cheeseburger. He purchased a dessert to go. We split it when we got home.

It was cold and windy here today. My husband found out why I bring in wood from the wood pile and leave the wood in the boxes in the house full. He used what was convenient, that which was already in the house and had to go out into the cold to fill 4 boxes that had been used up.

He had the wood stove so hot last night that it would huff out big puffs of smoke and set off the smoke detectors. He had gone to bed and never got up to see what was wrong. My son and I had to air out the basement.

Hopefully, tomorrow we will cut the wood that needs to be cut. I am all mixed up on my days now, thinking today was Saturday because the federal building where my husband works was closed, and he was home all day.

When we came out from Applebee's he said, "They didn't check our IDs, so we could go to another Applebees in _________. (a neighboring town)" I laughed, he didn't mean it, but I said, "As good as that meal was, that sounds like a good idea!" Then I said, "Don't tempt me!" He knows how hard I work to try to eat healthier and to exercise.

We are talking about going Monday to another restaurant that is offering free meals to veterans. We have a trip we want to go on in the near future and this will be a savings for us.

I am thankful for my blessings today.

My husband and Grand-daughter, and I ate at a restaurant in a nearby town yesterday and saw several military personnel and veterans being served free meals. What a great idea!!! They deserve every bite and more!!!
Please be careful with that wood stove. I don't want you to run the risk of a fire!!!

    Congratulations on your weightloss!

That is so nice of Applebees to do that. I bet they were busy!
Sounds like you enjoyed your dinner out.

What did your husband say when he found out he slept through smoke alarms? Mine would have had a heart attack. When we had a fireplace in another house, he would not go to sleep until the fire was totally out.
