So today I was having a "pretty day". I am sure it has something to do with the fact that I have lost another 3 lbs this week and I spent all of yesterday pulling up my favorite jeans that kept falling down. I decided to put on some make-up this morning. My 5 year old son was staring at me. I said, "What?" and looked down to see if something was on my shirt. He said, "Nothing, Mama I am just looking at your eyes. They look really pretty!" It was so sweet. I decided to take some pictures with my lap top camera. All three of my kiddies came over to my chair to be in the pictures. It was a lot of fun. Then I went for my walk with the kids and my neighbor. When my husband, Chris, got home from work the kids wanted me to show him the pictures we took. My husband is not one to compliment very often at all. He turned to my son and said, "Mommy is looking REALLY pretty isn't she?" I was so flattered! He noticed :) My husband and I have gotten into that groove that a lot of married couples get in where you assume the other KNOWS that you think they are attractive so you don't need to say it anymore. It made my day to hear it. It said so much more to me than just the words he actually said! It felt so good to hear my husband of almost 8 years voice an attraction to me that was not in the bedroom or leading to the bedroom. He was actually headed back out to work so when he said it tonight...he meant it. My insecurity could not make up an excuse for his nice words. Such a nice change!
