10 things the pre-Spark me never thought she would do

Friday, November 11, 2011

1. run
2. run in a race (a real 6k and a virtual 10k)
3. want to run/mind not running
4. run with my sister who has run forever (not yet, but planned for xmas)
5. fit back into my wedding dress
6. do strength training and weights (even if they're only 2 kg)
7. like strength training and weights
8. stop minding having my picture taken
9. voluntarily wear polyester :-) (cute running clothes)
10. know, care about, and be inspired by people as different from me as many of my Sparkfriends are -- no getting stuck in an internet bubble of people who share your basic political or religious outlook or profession or .... on SP. People of every opinion and religion and walk of life want to be healthy and fit.

oops. forgot to credit this blog to cellista1's blog challenge from october.

I like your list! I agree that the changes we have all made here on SP are mind-blowing. I've made such great SP friends who spark me on to greater health!

Congrats on all of your accomplishments!

I love it! I think it's wonderful - I love SP too, such an amazing and inspiring community! Thank you for motivating me again after quite a tough week. I thought I'd lost my spark but no, I'm getting back at it! Thank you!
I love your number 8 and think similarly now too. Amazing and awesome!
Have a great evening!

Wonderful! It's amazing what a healthy lifestyle can produce. Remember that they're your achievements, no matter how big or small. And those 2 kg will become 3, 4, etc. Thank you for your continued support. It is friends like you who keep me going.

Isn't great? We can always change no matter where we have been before!
You are so right... there is no need to get stuck in an internet bubble of people who share your basic political or religious outlook or profession.... the diversity of people we interact with in sparks is what makes it even better.. I'm always amazed to see how much people I have never seen in person care about me... and how much I care about them too... What a treat!

I send you love and hugs from SC!

PS. Where are you running for Christmas?

I was thinking that as I was doing my run this morning. A few months ago I'd have been hard pressed to manage 5 minutes. Keep it up Striver!!
