Little victories...

So I've been delaying trying on my winter jackets- for obvious reasons.

I am currently 20 lbs heavier than last year at this time. I am however in the same size clothes since then. (THANK YOU STRENGTH TRAINING).

This morning as I was getting ready, I ran to the closet to grab my fall jacket. But before putting it on I glanced at my winter jacket.... "should I try it?" "If it doesn't fit, I'll let it get to me all day" " It shouldn't matter if it fits or not, it's your reality, grow up and deal with cards you've delt" "Okay, I'm going to do it!"

Drum Roll Please........................
..............

THEY FIT!!! They ALL FIT!!! WOOHOO!!!

This is good for serveral reasons!

1- I don't have to go buy another jacket! I can make it through the winter with this one, and by next year I'll need to get a new one cause that will will be huge! (positive thinking here! LOL)

2- That means that even though I weight more, the lifting I've been doing over the summer, and even now is helping! I may weight more, but my body is carrying more muscle than fat! A big woop woop for that!

3- It has given me a completely happy and satisfied feeling! Like what I am doing is working! Way to go Ninny!

It's about the little victories....

What's your latest little victory?!?!!? I'd love to hear it!

Muscle weighs more but takes up less mass in respect to fat, so you are toning up well! Congratulations.

That's so awesome! I actually had to call my mom and ask for an "early Christmas gift" because I put on my winter coat and it looked like a kid wearing his dad's jacket.
So victory for me, not for my wallet...but who gives a ISH about that dumb wallet anyway?

XOXOX

Awesome job, and way to get it over with too. You are right, either way you look at it, you had to try it on eventually.

WAY TO GO, first off for facing the fears and trying those jackets on, and then for them fitting. The scale really truly honestly is NOT the best gauge of progress; we hear it all the time, but it's true. How clothes fit, how you feel, a dozen other things are a better way of measuring progress--and you are making it. Oh, and those jackets WILL be huge on you by next year, I know it!

First off, emoticon for realizing that the scale isn't the best way to measure your progress!!!

Now to answer your question:

Thursday when with family, I got a couple of compliments about how good I was looking. Also, Saturday with Jason's family I received a couple more!!! It feels so good to have others notice all the hard work you've been putting in!

We talked about my 10 week comparison photos. I had lost 18lbs in those 10 weeks. I am currently 7.8lbs less than those photos, but there is a bigger difference in what I looked like 9 weeks ago and I've lost less than 1/2 the weight!!!

Exercising consistently has REALLY made a difference!

emoticon you did it. Great feeling isn't it. I completed 2 out of 3 mini-goals I gave myself. Next week it will be 3 out of 3. Any victory is a success towards getting fit and healthy. emoticon Keep it up. Judy
