Ah, Fall. Bring on the soup!

I don't know what it is about this time of year, but I always get the ludicrous idea that I will teach myself how to cook. I actually started this today with a SP recipe. Chef Meg had a bunch of soups in an article yesterday and I decided to try to make the Potato Soup. It actually turned out really well! (Any negative aspects were the fault of the beginner chef, not the recipe itself.) I also made the parmesan zucchini, which was delicious. I felt awesome because I was cutting potatoes...LIKE AN ADULT! (Nod to Hyperbole and a Half here...http://hyperboleandahal
s-is-why-ill-never-be-adult.html) It cracked me up but made me feel good, accomplishing something so minor. I am trying for the zucchini bread later this week. Looks wonderful.

    Congrats on the cooking success! One tip, though: Spark Recipe cooktimes can be kind of weird. Always make sure you can afford to wait another hour.
