I am unable to do everything like before :(

I started with a new Internet Provider at the end of October and have experienced some good and some bad. The surfing is intermittent at this time so I am limited in what I can get done daily.

Going back to Satellite is not an option because doing so would cost me another $500 since they made me return the equipment. They really don't think ahead or they would have the customers hang onto the equipment for a couple of months "just in case".

I just wanted to explain why I might not seem to be as supportive as in the past - it is difficult when I can have an entire day with no connection. Just logging everything daily is a chore these days.

I am still here and willing to help all I can.

    Linda, I'm so sorry you are having so much trouble. Can you get DSL through you phone co. there? We got DSL as soon as it was available here and we can stay online 24/7. I hope you find a good solution soon.

    Girlfriend I can remember you being so active that it made my head spin to try to keep up with what you were doing so don't apologize for something that you have no control on now!! I hope things get ironed out soon.....but yes, keep complain g about the service if you are not satisfied. I don't know how it works for ISP's but with my sister's cell phone she kept complaining about calls being dropped and she was able to go with another provider because her service was not satisfactory.........wishing you luck there girl!!!

    Internet glitches are so frustrating . . . and internet has become something that all of us rely upon in so many aspects of our lives.

    I have a bundle package (phone, tv, and internet) and while expensive, it does keep me connected. At least until the power dies. LOL! Hang in there. You'll find something reliable.

I am going through the same thing they prommise so much but when it gets right down to it you pay so much and get so little it is amazing that there are no regulations they have to follow it drives me crazy too..

    Sorry to hear that. These companies charge high prices & do not provide good service. Hope you find a solution. I had to switch companies, but I am paying a whole lot more than I would like.

    Whoa. Now this is a bummer. Geez. I hope your ISP comes through for you. Just for the heck of it, why not call the satellite company and see if they'd be willing to reinstall to have your business again. Also, be sure to read the fine print on your new contract to see if they have horrible monetary gotchas if you leave before the contract is up.

I hope it's all better soon.

    I love your turkey background!! Good luck with your internet! We have Verizon and there are no towers nearby...our cell phones work great, but the internet comes and goes. That's the price we pay to live out in the country, though!!

    My problem is my computer and my laptop - they both have issues I don't know how to fix, although I keep trying. They both belong to the company, and we have no IT person - so would have to pay out of pocket and PRAY to be reimbursed "someday". SO not an option!!!!! But I sure understand what you're going through. Hang in there! Today I'm on a hotel business center computer. So refreshing! It works!!!!

    We live in a rural area and sometimes struggle with internet connections, so I understand about connectivity problems. We thought about using our Satellite for connecting, but, besides from the cost, that goes out during monsoon season or when it's windy. Certainly not a great option for us.

Hope you are able to get better service soon.
