I have been a member of Sparkpeople for almost 5 month. In that time I have lost 22 pound. Pounds that wanted to stay where they were for the past 2 years. I have discovered that tracking my food intake is essential to my progress. Along with tracking my food I discovered that exercise was essential. exercise was a terrible word to me. Something that I did not want to do. Since I started in the spring, my pool was opening and I started to swim and tread water. I would treat water for 10-20 minutes most days. This was easy to do especially when it was hot. Then fall came and the pool closed. Exercise is more of a challenge now. Exercise videos can be hard on my knees so I need to modify what I do, but I am working on it. I have also started walking. I do not walk as often as I should, but it is getting easier.
I have also learned that I am addicted to Spark Points. That is right. I love those points each day. I never thought that rewards would entice me like they do. Along with the points and trophies I have learned allot about food and myself. And I have lost weight. Then there are challenges. Exercise 10 minutes a day, track my food, and the best is this Biggest Loser Challenge. It not only has started the scale moving down again but challenged me to learn more about the computer that I would not have on my own.
This is the third blog of this challenge. I would never have blogged without this challenge. Blogging is not bad. I may keep this up from time to time.
Have a great evening!!
