My First 5K

Saturday, November 05, 2011

Today I participated in my first 5k. It was the North Texas Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes 5K walk and competitive run; around the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, I didn't do very well in the fund raising part. I hope to do better next year. It's not about the money any way. It's about raising awareness about this disease.

There were over 2500 people there this year. The largest turn out in 3 years.

This is as close as I'll ever get to Jerry's Playground,;unless, someone wants to donate tickets the next time Green Bay comes to play!

TX BBQ is always a good thing after a long walk!

Good Job Alan, fighting diabetes is always a good cause to walk for. Keep up the good work my friend.
