Hi Everyone. If you know me, you know I have been running for 13 weeks now and I really do love it. I run about 4-5 times per week for a minimum of 3 miles during the work week and a longer run on the weekends up to an hour. I signed up for a half marathon in May . I also watch my calories, trying to stay around 1500 per day. I have not done much strengh training or toning lately. I have been really focused on building up my running. I have noticed a little bit of slimming in my arms and outer thighs. I have not lost one single pound though! I really, really, need help losing weight/toning my stomach and getting my butt to be more toned. I look at myself in the mirror and I look good except for these two bulges of my gutt and butt!!!! I'm sitting here so depressed right now. I am letting this get me down and I dont even feel like going for my run right now. I cant get past this right now. Due to a bone spur I cant do any deep knee lunges, squats. Is there anything I can do with my running.......will adding hills tone my lower body? I started doing some planks this week for my abs. Please give me your honest opinion/advice please!
