Whew! I feel so much better now!

Thursday, November 03, 2011

I'm done stressing about this and I've finally made peace with it.

So, here's the plan.

I'm going to start the marathon running. If I can't run, I'll walk. If I can't walk, I'll DNF.

I mean really....will the world end if I don't finish? Doubtful. And if it did, it would be strictly a coincidence, right?

I'm going to Savannah and my husband is going with me. No matter what, it will be fun!

I feel so much better!!

Life IS Good!

Saw that you were able to finish. That's awesome.

Currently going through some leg problems that I hope are fixed by the Disney Marathon but I have the same goal. If I can't run, I'll walk...etc etc...

Have a great time--really, isn't that what it's all about? DNF beats DNT (did not try).

Suezette, you guys are going to have so much fun! I was reading something by The Penguin a while ago - he was writing about a time when he planned to PR and instead DNF. In the sag wagon on the way back, he reminded himself that his ability to start, finish or PR at a race ONLY mattered to him - just the way you are thinking!

WooHoo! Good for you, that is amazing! I tried running when you were doing the Couch to 4K and found that it is definitely not for me. My hips and heart won't allow it. I envy that in you and find it amazing. Lifting weights and walking is for me. I'm also adding in a little yoga. Go for it, girl!! emoticon

I am so glad that you have made a decision and I love the way you presented it. You are a Winner with what ever comes at race time. The great thing you said you will have a great time with your husband in Savannah.

I think not!

Good luck Suezette. I'm sure you will not get a DNF out of this, but you're right - it wouldn't be the end of the world!

That sounds like a great plan!! I am so proud of you for not beating your self up about this!!

I know you will not DNF! If I didn't DNF with a cut foot, you will not with a bum hip. Not in a can, or in a van, or with a man, sam I am.
