Well this makes me feel good!! Pictures

Wednesday, November 02, 2011

I've been saying two things: 1) I feel better at this current weight than I did last time I was 199.6lbs and 2) My main focus right now is getting back to 187lbs again, my lowest ever weight. I just looked through my photos from when I was 187lbs on 11/23/2010--almost exactly a year ago. lol Like I said!! I fell off right at Thanksgiving time of last year. Well I pulled up todays picture and that picture and put them side by side and I was very pleased at what I saw...not too much of a difference! I am smaller in the 1st picture at 187lbs but it isn't so bad of a difference. It makes me have to realize I am in a lot better place again... So like I thought...I am better off at 199.6lbs than I was the last go around...weight training is definitely the difference.

11/23/2010 187lbs my lowest ever weight

11/2/2011 Today 199.6lbs

You're right! Strength training really does make all the difference. It makes your body look leaner, tighter and toned, even though you may be at a higher weight...evidenced by your comparison photo. You're doing a fab job...just can't say that enough!!! Remember, don't be so stuck on a particular number on the scale, because to the physically active person like you, they scale can be a little misleading. Remember, muscle makes you look tight, toned and right but it weighs 3 times as much as fat. Some people get confused, because they've been working out and the scale hasn't gone down or its a slow process...they forget about the muscle & fat relationship. Grab a cloth measuring tape and keep track of your thigh, hip, waist, and chest measurements as'll love the progress you see there. You can also look into monitoring your body fat %, because the standard BMI won't work well for you've got muscle girl! : )
