My schedule is erratic at best. I work 9.5 hour (or more) days, 5 days a week (sometimes 6 days a week), starting as early as 5 a.m. and ending as late as 10 p.m. I try to get a decent amount of sleep, as I know I am a solid 8-hour-a-night person (prefer 9 hours in the dark, cold, Alaskan nights, can do with 7 or even 6 during the midnight-sun summers). It's hard to fall asleep at 8 p.m., though, even when you know you have to be back up at 4 a.m. to get ready for work. Especially when you want to spend time with your family.
I don't know if I am trying to come down with the family cold, or just tired after work, but the last 2 days I have taken "naps" that turned into multi-hour sleep fests. But, dang, sometimes an overdose of sleep just feels good!
