Out of Control

Monday, October 31, 2011

I will be starting a new job on December 5th but possibly sooner and I will be working overnights, so this past week I have switched my life...I stay up all night and go to bed between 6 and 9 am then get up between 1-4 pm in the afternoon. So my eating schedule is all messed up and I have drank some caffenated drinks this week to help in a way....even though I know its bad and I have eaten a ton of fast food....I have been out of control and no willpower at all this week. I need to get some good foods in the house but have to wait till I can get to the store on Thursday (have to wait till my hubby's payday) before I can go to the store since I wasted my grocery money on fast food.

I feel like a failure right now....I know Im not....I have just lost myself for a little bit!!! I will get back on the wagon come Thursday....when I have healthy foods back in the fridge!!

It is Thursday! Sorry I haven't made it to where you live yet, but I am getting closer! Keep us posted about your new changes, and we will cheer you on.

Tough schedule! You can use your plan to get back on track - good luck. Try not to beat yourself up (I know, I do it when I choose foods that I wish later I hadn't). You and your health are worth the effort!

NOPE... NO FAILURE HERE!!! YOU ARE NO FAILURE!!!

As a young person, my family was on the night shift. EVERYTHING was topsy. My kids were topsy... I was topsy. My support system was toasted. YOU HAVE TIME TO PLAN FOR THIS!!! What a BLESSING that is!!!

And honestly, remember in this month of gratefulness how fortunate you are for the JOB. I am generally the 'but dang it' one here... 'dang it I dontwanna'... I am SO glad you are able to go to work... So grateful (oh Lordy I sound like PollyAnna)... that you are able to find a job. It will NOT be simple. But you will be SO busy on the night shift that it will (YES IT WILL) make your weight go faster... that is my mantra for you!

You can do this. This is the time to make out your food plan and menus. Then you will know what to buy when you go to the store. Set yourself up for success and plan. In the meantime you can start by getting active. Go outside and walk. Keep yourself moving. Don't look at this as failure. Look at this as a time of learning. You see that you don't want to live like this, that you want to be healthy. Now you know what you want - go for it.

We all have days where we make choices that leave us in a position we don't like very much. Fortunately, you already have a recovery plan!

You're not a failure. You've just had a momentary obstacle appear. You've already made plans to overcome and you will overcome!
