I have a recurring dream of being on a cruise ship like the one on the movie about the
Poseidon Adventure…… All of the surviving passengers that are with me are traveling down corridors looking for a way out to a safer level. We come to a long corridor and at the very end of the hall we can see a light thru an opening. As we all run to the opening, the hole appears to be getting smaller and smaller. When we reach the hole in the wall, all the others passengers slide thru the hole with ease, no problem at all. Then it is my turn. I start to feel flush all over because I know there is no way that my large body will fit thru that small hole. I feel so doomed. It is at this point that I usually wake up……

I think that my inner self is sending out warning signals to me as to my demise if I do not wake up and make some adjustments to myself before it is too late. You would think that such a scary dream like that would make me stronger and more motivated to somplete this journey, but I still struggle every day…….

Has anyone else ever had a dream like this?????

    I used to have a recurring dream of being chased and not being fast enough. Maybe that is why I became a runner! emoticon Seriously, this does take work and some work on the inner self might be needed if it is what is holding you back...

    Dreams are crazy and that you keep having the same one probably does translate into the inner struggle you talk about. This whole *healthy* lifestyle IS a daily struggle. All or nothing mentality does not work for me...I try and go for moderation. Food in moderation
    Fitness in moderation
    The holiday season makes it even more tough to even stick to moderation but... emoticon
    Tracking IS important and eye opening experience.
    I'll be here to emoticon you along the way,
    give you a emoticon when you need one and
    of course to swim or row out to get you off that darn ship!

    I always dream of being too weak to defend myself from an attacker. I'm either in the dark or everything is very blurry or foggy and my whole body is too weak to run or fight back. When I wake up I feel so awful and it pushes me to try harder during my workouts. When I have those dreams I workout very hard and do well, it seems like when I forget them I don't have a very good week of tracking my food/exercise.

    Oh my sweet friend, I know you can do this! I know you can chip away at the fat, right down to the Skinny You!

    I don't read too much into my dreams, otherwise I'm sure I would be at the Funny Farm!

    Set some goals. Big goals and mini goals. Example: try not to gain during the holidays. (that's a hard one) Then starting in January stay focused and start losing again!

    Use the Nutrition tracker! I find that I lose quicker when I'm tracking my food.
