Well I am finally doing it.. we are converting from oil to gas. I really didn't plan on doing it now but unfortunately, my furnace would not take us through the winter. I grew up having oil so my impression/thougts of it makes me ill. I never really noticed the smell in my home once we got a delivery but oh boy do I not like it.

I am curious to know how many people still have oil to heat up their homes and how many have gas. No more oil deliveries that's a plus.

We have gone through almost a week without any heat. I had to go out and purchase space heaters which I am not a fan of but I can't let my kids freeze. The weather at night can be very cold dropping down to 37 degrees which is pretty cold but I try and bundle up.

By the end of the week - our gas furnace should be in place. I can't wait ..... it seems like the cold weather is coming quickly and with a vengence.

Happy Halloween to all and be safe!!! emoticon

Gas is not available where I live here in the boonies. We heat with wood and electric space heaters.

Here in Quebec (Canada), In known that most peopel here use electricity. For us, it's actually cheaper since we have a lot of lakes and water to make the electricity.

We have a gas heater and oven.

    Everything else is electric.

    We live in a rental.

Took me a bit to learn to deal with gas.

I know that many people in the Northeast have oil heaters, whereas in Texas, gas is more common. Where I am now in WA state, the heating systems are electric a good part of the time.
