Stress Busters Challenge

Today is my last day of the four week stress busters challenge. I have never finished any of the challenges I've started on here before, sorry to say. In these four weeks I've learned alot about how to change my way of thinking and it's helped me alleviate some of the stress from my day to day life. The journaling really helps. I went back and read them all and can see, just from that alone a difference. A good experience and there are so many articles on this website that help. Eventually I'll read most of them and put them to use.

    emoticon on finishing the challenge. That has been hard for me, too. I don't know why, but after week 2, I start dragging. Guess that's as long as I've been able to go on a crappy lifestyle plan. The 5% challenge is helping me to learn a LOT (8 week commitment - YIKES!). And I'm really learning this lifestyle is about every decision I make about food. I'm proud of you for finishing! emoticon

    That is what I like about Spark People. It may be an article or something a member has written that gives us an insight into our own behaviors that cause us to eat more or give up on ourselves.

I eat when I am stressed. I get depressed, angry or just sleep to avoid the situation.

Some use exercise to work through these emotions. I am learning to exercise regardless, but it has been since 1970 that I exercised daily. My Dad died in January of 1971 and that affected me negatively.

    that is awesome to hear. stress is such a killer in your everyday activities it is crazy. i hope you keep up the good work.
