What to do when the warrantee expires....

Monday, October 24, 2011

Enough is enough already! I have had electronic equipment that never gave me a lick of trouble and then within months of the warrentee expiring....everything starts going wrong.

This year I started on medication for my thyroid and chronic asthma. Then recently started medication for high blood pressure- which we are still sorting out....NOW, I get a high blood sugar result. Next week I have to have another fasting blood sugar to see if I am diabetic.

I am not a happy camper. I was in shock all afternoon. I generally eat healthy. There has only been short intervals in my life when I haven't worked out. I have been struggling with the energy to work out lately, but still got in 5 workouts last week.

I don't know if it is too late to get an extended warrantee, but the last thing I want to do is just give up. I am feeling a little shock and discouragement even now. It doesn't help when I gained 5 pounds due to changing from a water pill to a antihypertensive.

I am not going to lay down my resolve, in fact I am even more determined to get healthy. I don't know exactly what it is going to take, but I assure all of my friends this: I am not going to give up! I just need a little bit of encouragement this week!
Thanks for being here for me even though I am not here for you right now!
Mary

Hey Mary - You are doing so great- even blogging about your discouragement is the first step to finding a solution. Please know that you hanging in there on this journey despite all the roadblocks is an inspiration to me and, I am sure, all slowest loser team members. Good luck and God bless.

    Hey Mary,
I'm visiting from the Slowest Loser team. You can do this! I've got a good handle on exercise, but my eating plan and I can't come to an agreement. Let's make a deal--if you don't give up; I won't give up. There's so much support here and just think how much you've already accomplished.

Mary, My name is Celina and I am also a tortoise on the Slowest Loser team. I have had some hiccups along the way but think of it like a 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. So you need regular maintenance appointments and occasionally you need to take it completely in for service but as long as you do the warranty doesn't expire. emoticon We are here if you need us.

Hi, Mary. I am Darlene and I am a member of The Slowest Loser with you. Just want you to know that I am praying for you that full truth of the underlying cause of your multitude of health issues will be discovered so they are treating the true condition and not giving diagnoses to the symptoms as if they are the issue. May God give eyes to see to your medical providers.

    Hi Mary,
We are on the Slowest Loser team together. I know there are times when it feels like the warranty has run out but it hasn't. We are given chances to make adjustments. During the times when we are not sure where to turn, we can often find someone who is experiencing similar difficulties and get (and give) encouragement. I am sure that even now you are making changes that will be helpful in the long run. Hang in there (and keep blogging). emoticon

Hey, Mary, by all means, don't give up. I didn't even START to get healthy until after the warranty had expired for sure - but y'know, I'm doing it. Getting off the BP meds (I was on four of them but now I'm down to three.) Hang in there, girl! YOU CAN DO IT!!

I am cheering for you. You can beat this.....don't give up. I sense your frustration with all these new diagnoses, and I am sure I would feel the same. But I love your attitude about not giving up. You deserve the best. Best of luck to you over the next little while as you get over these hurdles!! You can do it!

What ever you do...DON'T GIVE UP!!! YOU are worth the effort it takes to make this work. And don't settle until you get more info from your doctor. Dig for answers. I know it isn't easy but you can do it. I live with RA and Crohn's but I refuse to let it get me down and I know that you can too!!!
