winter scaries

I was thinking about the goals of one day at a time and i am sitting here telling myself hang in there. i am looking at this next season called winter and how it has a way to put a damper on one's activities and people tend to put pounds on. my simple goal right now is to maintain and not gain from now till april.

    I think being aware of how the change of season affects you is half the battle. I've been thinking about what I can do outdoors in winter that would be both exercise and fun. I'm going to look into snow shoeing. Then there is sled riding with the grandchildren that should be fun. I guess what I am saying is look for something you would enjoy doing that you can only do in winter, then make it your goal to do it at least once a week.

    Think of winter as giving you a chance to try DIFFERENT activities not just putting a damper on them. Maybe try some videos you can do at home-maybe check the library before buying. See is a famiily member or a friend would like to join you and have an exercise party. emoticon
