Ok sparkies...I have a problem...help me please!

Monday, October 24, 2011

It's not a catastrophic problem, just more of a question...

I don't know what I can freeze successfully other than your typical meat, soups, and veggies.

Need a list of suggestions...Thanks fellow sparkies...

I was just thinking of a few other things. I make a big batch of rice in my rice cooker. I divide it up into those little snack baggies that are about half the size of a regular sandwich baggie. Each bag holds one cup cooked rice packed in tight. I put them in the freezer and take out for meals. If you are a soup person that usually freezes well too. I have a lot of 1 cup size containers that works well for that.

Think of anything you can buy as a frozen dinner. Those things you can make fresh and a whole lot tastier!

Casseroles usually freeze well. And as far as meats and veggies go I like to put them in a marinade before I freeze them. Then when I take them out to thaw they get to soak in the flavor. Italian dressing w/chicken or pork can be delish.

    Good luck finding some options.
