Hi! Completed yet another week of the JE 12 week program but it wasn't as intense as I've worked during the last several weeks. Tuesday my fiancÚ and I got, ahem, "sidetracked" and ended up going out for a fish fry, some beers, and a game of darts at Sir Eds, my favorite British pub. It was totally flying in the face of the program but I didn't feel a twinge of guilt at all. We had a fun night- sort of a date if you will- and I don't regret it in the least.
Then on Thursday we had to go to a cocktail party for one of Jeff's clients. It was basically a bunch of rich people standing around in haute couture clothing, assessing and judging everyone around them. Ick. I would have rather been at the gym sweating and looking all frizzy haired than to stand around wearing my work clothes (the nicest things I have) drinking a glass of wine and being snubbed by everybody but my sweetheart. Whatevs.
Anyway we didn't get to the gym two days this week and on Saturday night we somewhat over-indulged and had not only pad Thai BUT also made a stop at Amelie's, a french pastry shop that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So sue me. It was worth it.
So Monday is going to be a step towards regaining that powerful momentum from phase 1. I keep looking at pictures of me in my wedding gown, fat spilling out from all over the top. I'm determined not to look like that, I'd be so ashamed if I did and I knew I could have done something about it. I'm not going to say I won't have slip-ups or miss work outs once in a while but I have a goal and it will be realized!
