The time we think we're the most on top of our game, can also be the time that we're the most vulnerable. Life throws us a curveball or places a slick spot on that curve toward the home stretch, and we feel ourselves spinning. Maybe, we think we hear the crowd at the finish line, but our minds play tricks on us, and it turns out that the steepest hill is yet before us. And it could be that the hardest part of all...is that the one we need most to be running beside us, holding our hand, has already finished the race.
My friends and fellow athletes, in spite of it all...it's times like these when we discover the parts inside us that are broken. And it's only then, can we begin to heal. I found that the words to this song by Lifehouse are appropriate for me this morning, and for any others who may need to hear them. God bless.
