Sitting here taking a break while sipping some awesome licorice tea and trying to catch up. Oh how the days slip away and pretty soon I find myself commenting on week old blogs. Really? A week already? How did that happen?
I am glad to say that Dean is doing much, much better. We have new additions to the household in the form of four canisters of oxygen...J U S T I N C A S E. Good news is, he only had to use it once the first day home from the hospital. It's more for peace of mind so that in the event he ever had a repeat episode or overexerts himself he/we have peace of mind that he can get air. He has lots of follow up appointments coming up and the allergy testing appointment he had to reschedule. We will be interested in what that has to say. . . and NO Miss Molly will not go if he is allergic. He will opt for the shots. But let's hope that's not the case.
This has been a couple of expensive few months for us both appointment wise. . . soon things will calm down. I finally had my colonoscopy and yes I DID get to watch and even asked questions. The doctor got a little chuckle when I told him I opted for concious sedation so I could watch the movie...so he moved the screen so I could see. Everything was A OK! I don't have to see him for 10 years! My diabetic eye exam was good and actually a bit improved over last years. I had my GYN, mammogram, dermatologist, and dental check ups months ago which also came back fine.So the only thing left is my yearly physical coming up on Nov. 17th then I'm done with doctors (for awhile)! Whew! I look forward to A month that I don't have a doctors appointment. It's kinda like being on vacation.
Tomorrow is Family Picture Day! Woo hoo!!
Not my most favorite thing to do but my good friend Boots1221 has given me a few pointers on how to look your best in pictures. She ALWAYS looks great and knows just how to do it. Her expertise is the hand held do it yourself pic. I guess my arms just aren't long enough because it seems when I do it my face takes up the whole screen. My daughter (the photographer) is an expert at positioning as well, having much experience with brides and grooms, senior pics and portraits. I will do my best and hopefully get a decent picture to put up on here.
After the family portrait session we are going to a corn maze. I have never been and am hoping we don't get lost. I'm sure you've heard about the woman who called 911 because it was getting dark and she was afraid she was lost in the maze so she called for help. It turned out she was only a few rows over from the street. If that happens to me. . .I'm walking right through ALL the rows. LOL How do I count corn maze on my exercise tracker?
Reminds me of a story of my MIL. We had gone to the beach and there was a bit of an undertow in this one particular spot. She could feel herself being pulled into the water. She yelled HELP! HELP! at the top of her lungs quite a few times. The lifeguard was telling her to go sideways to get out of it, but because she was panicking she didn't hear them. My daughter heard them and moved. After she finally moved over she was totally embarassed to see how just a few feet made the difference. She is from Ohio where they don't have waves and undertows. I miss her. She was a lot of fun.
Well, the teapot is empty and I've run out of stuff to ramble about so I guess I will do some more catching up. Have a great night!
