The last stumbling block of my week

Friday, October 21, 2011

I had a 10 page survey to complete for the ambulance service
and it was a stinker. I had to fill in 8 pages of questions with
very intricate information and then attach two pages of maps
with our service area. Anyone who lives in an area with a river
meandering through it, gravel roads and highways that start,
stop, and start agan with bypasses, country lanes and detours
will know how much fun it is to complete. So I consulted maps
and marked areas that I knew we had covered in the past 19
1/2 years that I have been with the service. What a nightmare!
I wrote it off as a Halloween joke LOL! I did turn in my hours
and told the finance officer if someone else wanted to do
this in the future, they could be my guest. Will I have any
takers?
So that completes the last stumbling block of my week. I was
trying to work on it when it was quiet but there are always
interruptions.
Other than that, I have had a fairly easy week staying on
track. If I get through the weekend, I see a clear path ahead.
Tonight we will have the two GC here as Dad is gone for
guard weekend and mom has a volleyball match. We may
spend some time digging potatoes and carrots if DH has
his way. They just love that!
We have Oktoberfest tomorrow night. It is a night for the
ethnic Germans in the area to consume food like our mothers
and grandmothers made and some of us young (?) people
still cook at home. There will be many temptations on the
dessert table. They also serve beer and I think this year,
there will be a wine tasting area. After the meal, a polka band
will play and there will be dancing for those fearless enough
to venture out. Guess where I will be? Dancing without my
shoes LOL!
Have you encountered stumbling blocks this week? Well,
push, shove and move them out of your way by following
your SPark plan. You have the tools and the knowledge so
go for it.
Thanks for stopping by!
