I had a 10 page survey to complete for the ambulance service
and it was a stinker. I had to fill in 8 pages of questions with
very intricate information and then attach two pages of maps
with our service area. Anyone who lives in an area with a river
meandering through it, gravel roads and highways that start,
stop, and start agan with bypasses, country lanes and detours
will know how much fun it is to complete. So I consulted maps
and marked areas that I knew we had covered in the past 19
1/2 years that I have been with the service. What a nightmare!
I wrote it off as a Halloween joke LOL! I did turn in my hours
and told the finance officer if someone else wanted to do
this in the future, they could be my guest. Will I have any

Tonight we will have the two GC here as Dad is gone for

We have Oktoberfest tomorrow night. It is a night for the
ethnic Germans in the area to consume food like our mothers
and grandmothers made and some of us young (?) people
still cook at home. There will be many temptations on the
dessert table. They also serve beer and I think this year,
there will be a wine tasting area. After the meal, a polka band
will play and there will be dancing for those fearless enough
