Wow! This is something I haven't done in a while. I must say it feels great! Most ppl who have talked with me or been to my page know that I have been super busy (who isn't these days?). I have not had much time to visit or update my sp page either. I decided to take a break to day and do a little sparking. Last update I gave, I was super excited to say that I had gotten down to a size 2 after dropping from a size 6 (maybe an 8 b/c the 6's were getting to tight) and loosing 21.5 lbs. An awesome feat for me. I'm happy to say that even though I have not been sparking and tracking like I should, I have successfully kept the weight off and maintained my size. I still pay attention to what's going in and out of my body. I am trying to put on some muscle which will definitely take my weight up about 10 lbs at the most. My night class is coming along great. I'm not going to the gym after class anymore, I'm either working out at home or using that day as a rest day. My sister in law is working with me 6 days a week. She's on vacation this week and most of next week (San Antonio), so that mean I'm going solo for the next 2 weeks. I kind of felt the partner rut yesterday (once the partner stop coming you get kind of unmotivated...). That's why I don't allow myself to get used to working out with a partner b/c when they leave or stop coming (she's only on vacation) it's kind of bring me down. On top of that, she'll be leaving for good in about Jan or Feb
but I know she has to what's best for her and her fiancÚ. A cold front is coming through here in Ridgeland, MS. I hate cold weather! The temp has already started dropping and tomorrow it's going to be coats, boots and scarves for sure lol (maybe not).
I tried a new exercise last Saturday. If you have tried this already, please let me know how you enjoy/enjoyed it. Do you think it was beneficial in anyway. The exercise were step ups off a flat bench. I did 3 sets of 15 each leg after barbell squats. It felt really good. I think I'm going keep doing it. I wanted to change my leg workout up a bit (mainly adding new exercises to the ones I already do). I have also been trying to create dishes I like to eat at restaurants, at home. My family and I have gotten into making our own steak or chicken fajitas. We found a brand of meat (John Soules) that is light in calories (3oz @120 cal) and sodium (for prepackaged food) and taste great. A low cal soft shell tortilla and great value taco cheese....ummm. A quick delicious, not to bad meal in about 10 min max. We always put our sauce on the side for dipping instead of pouring it in the fajita. If you like you could turn your fajita into a quesidilla. I have also started adding the fajita chicken to the marinara pasta dish I make. Just decided to try it one day and it turned out great. I know this b/c my daughter loves it (we know how kids be a little picky at times).
I have not been to the CX 30 (ab class) in about 2 wks. I'm planning to get in the gym on time today and knock my leg routine out so I can make the class to night. Les Mills had a launch on Oct 1...so I haven't been to the ab class since the launch so needless to say I'm going to be in for a good surprise. I'm excited though. I have really been trying to hit my abs hard this time around. I love it!! I think I may post some before and after pics at a much later date. I may not leave them up long but just for a quick minute. I'm not sure about that completely, still debating.......we'll see.
