Took a step back again, but ready to take two forward

Sunday, October 16, 2011

Super bummed... But persevering... I haven't watched my in take for food the last week and my exercise has reduced to a quarter of what I did the week before. School has just been stressful and we went from having no oven to no stove or oven because the electrical socket for our new electric stove has to be repaired... We won't be able to do anything until Thursday...

As far as exercise, I think I was just pushing myself too hard too fast. I read about it in the Spark book, but for some reason, I ignored it and now I'm back to trying to exercise at least a little bit each day. I had put a goal on 10 minutes a day, but I kept getting warnings saying I should re-evaluate my fitness minutes because it might not work with my calorie in take. I increased it to the 20 minutes, and not it seems so hard to meet it. But we'll see what the new week brings. The important thing is to realize doing a little is better than going back to nothing. I gained a half a pound back this week, but at least I'm not back up to the 190s.

My goal this week is to make a plan today and stick to it...

Take one day at a time. Plan out meals for the week but that will be difficult without an oven.

Take your lunch with you. Have a salad and grilled or boiled chicken. I've been using Mrs. Dash seasoning or McCormicks on my meats and they taste really good.

Remember stress can impede your weight loss and being in school can be stressful at times.
Stick to a routine and you'll get there! emoticon

Have you considered a toaster oven? Mine works as a great substitute when I don't want to heat the whole kitchen!

I know it's hard sometimes when we backslide to stay focused but you seem to have that down! And goals area great ways to stay motivated!

You can do this! emoticon
