Big Job interview - big changes coming

Saturday, October 15, 2011

I survived my big job interview today. I thought it went really well, they seemed really nice, but I just felt like they wanted someone with more business experience, and I have more development experience. They said next week they'll call everyone back either way.

We've been looking at houses in town, knowing we'll have to sell ours soon, just to get an idea of what is out there. Of course we have a favorite already. In fact we've dropped by and walked around it three times. A friend said I 'have a crush on it'. She might be right. My husband and I were already discussing what color to paint it, and I'm planning how I want to fix up the yard! It's been empty since the elderly owners passed away over a year ago. It's a 1935 house, and looks perfectly vintage inside. I don't know if it will still be for sale by the time we get our house sold. I guess we'll see. There are many other of a similar style and vintage, but something about this one really 'feels' right.

I have to agree with everyone. It is a cute house and has a whole lot of potential. I hope you get it. Congratulations on your job interview. I am looking too and know how you feel when going into an interview and know that they want something different than what you have. Good luck on that.

I can understand why you have a crush on this house. It really is cute and doesn't look like there's a lot that MUST be done before you move in. Of course there's lots that can be done afterwards to bring it up to the new millennium.

Enjoy your dream and good luck on the job search.

Looking at a house and dreaming is great motivation for getting your house ready to sell and all the work that goes in to that!! Wish you the best as you work on selling, moving and finding that perfect new home...smiles Barb
