Guten Morgan, Bon jour, MORNING! Yes it was 4:30 am when I got up again this morning and I have to stay up late enough tonight to get me through the late shift tomorrow. This basically means I'm wake for an extra 4 hours of the day. This means I get hungry for about 4 or 5 meals with snacks in between. I'm wondering how many of us out there do shift patterns and have ended up piling on the pounds because you end up eating your way through the day in a hope that you'll make it till bedtime!
But no more snacking on Mars bars and biscuits for me. I've got some form of dry cardboard crisp bread to keep me till lunchtime and then I'm going to try and get in 2 yes 2 portions of fruit with my small lunch of instant mash. Instant mash rocks my socks btw. its quick, its warm, its filling and its only 89 calories!!! AMAZE!
However todays challenge comes in the form of dinner. A family meal at which my Mother (who used to be a chef and clearly deserves all the blame for my waist line due to her good cooking) assures me that my favourite will be served. Oh yes honey roast gammon with veg and potato dauphinoise. If you aren't familiar with this kind of potato I don't suggest any of you try it because its both heaven and a heart attack on a plate. Its basically potato's with cream and cheese and I mean A LOT! and then I promised myself an evening gym trip....we shall have to see if I have the will power for that bit!
But for now a very VERY early breakfast!
