i will not quit

Every diet goes through stages. My experience has been in these stages:

1) Ugh! I really need to do something.
2) This isn't so bad.
3) Nice, results!
4) I'm bored.
5) What happened to the results?
6) It's not worth it anymore.
7) Back to calories

Lately, I've been feeling like I'm working my way through stages 4 and 5. This is just like every other diet, I start off excited, get a little results, then lose interest. But this is not like any other diet. Because it is not a diet. This is not a diet. THIS IS NOT A DIET!

I will not quit, because this is my life. These changes are permanent. I am worth the healthy choices. I am worth the hard work. I will not let boredom sabotage my life. It's not a diet anymore, this time I'm not playing, and this time I'm not quitting.

Hear that, you negative thoughts? I'm going to push through this one. I'm going to keep going.

    Motivation ebbs and flows, just because there are so many other things going on in our lives. It is hard to stay focused, and keep the motivation level running high. The motivation will come back as you keep working your plans and see more results.

    You are so right. This is not a diet; it's a lifestyle change. Diets have beginning and ends. We want our healthy habits to last the rest of our lives.
