Only another 4lbs to go and I'll have lost a stone in weight. How cool is that?
It feels strange and takes some getting used to. The physical process was quite easy in a way. I measured what I ate. I improved my nutrition. I generally eat three balanced meals and two snacks throughout the day and drink tons of water.
Mentally, it's been more challenging. I realise that when I chug along everything goes well. I am learning to chill out about the whole process and not try too hard. Eating healthily and enjoying some regular exercise is quite fun and satisfying. 'Dieting' and 'doing exercise' with a kind of punishment mentality is not the way. You just burn out quickly.
Non-scale victories are very worth focusing on. I have strong nails for the first time in my life and I'm growing them nice and long (if you've got short stubby fingers like me, this is a complete Godsend) I blogged about the improvement in my hair last time, and at last it dawns on me that our bodies and appearance really suffer without optimum nutrition
The thing I like best of all is the knowledge that I can choose good health. It's a kind of empowerment, not a chore, and it gives me confidence in other areas of my life too.
I do hope you all take the time to notice the non-scale changes that happen in your journey too. I would love to hear them
