What's a gal with glasses to do? hehehe... Testing one, two, three...

We had a great weekend here in New England!! emoticon emoticon

DH and I when to a church Coffee House Night - Open Mic night on Saturday. Very nice time and some GREAT music. We're trying to be more social instead of living like hermits, and made it for an hour and fifteen before DH turned into, "Ready to go??" Actually, we left at the first break so saw just about everyone play a few songs.

I did not turn into Mighty Wood-Chore Girl emoticon emoticon till yesterday.

I finished stacking wood in the first bin. This holds just under 3 cords:
(I have to say I feel like The Little Red Hen in the Fall. All the kids used to help with this chore. Now, I'm like, "Who will help me stack the wood? ... then I will stack it myself," and she did!)

Swept out the second bin in our setup:

Well, lookey here! I was stacking wood, my face just inches from this guy at one point. Boy, am I glad he was a cool customer, never flinching - surprised I even spied him since everything in here was stacked while he chilled. Here is a dramatization:

Here's Joe Cool, a.k.a. Gray Tree Frog. He is rarely seen! Lives high in the tree canopy, only coming down to breed and to hibernate under the leaves. I listened to his song (thanks, google). The bin is covered by a tarp - maybe he's thinking, "Leaves, shmeaves..."

Happy Columbus Day to my US SPals (Spark Pals), Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian SPals!!

(?? for Canadian SPals - why do our calendars say TODAY is Canadian Thanksgiving? Didn't you folks celebrate on Saturday?)

Oh, I created my sunflower head "fence" for the birds... pic to come.

emoticon Cheers! Melly

You always bring a smile to my face

If I recall, you live in Mass. I've lived in Massachusetts all my life and I've never, ever seen a frog like that! I live on two acres of land- one acre is woods. We get turkeys, coyotes and foxes but no frogs/toads of any kind.

I'm pissed! I wanna grey tree frog! emoticon
